Hyderabad: The sleuths of SOT Malkajgiri zone conducted a decoy operation and busted an online sex trafficking racket and apprehended two women for indulging in prostitution via online portals.
Officials seized Rs 8000 cash, three mobile phones and other materials from their possession. The arrested were identified as Secha Joiyce Goodlak, 25, and Mmanga Debora Jacksoni, 25, both natives of Tanzania.
“The two Tanzanian women had rented a house in Shaili garden in Yapral and were using an online website www.mingle2.com for sex trade,” said the SOT inspector of Malkajgiri, Naveen Kumar.
“They exchanged the mobile numbers through their website and then chatted with clients on WhatsApp. They also called customers to their place for illegal activities,” he added.
On receiving credible information, sleuths of SOT Rachakonda, along with local police, organised a decoy operation by chatting with the suspects on WhatsApp and apprehended the two women.
The women were handed over to Jawaharnagar police station.
