Mangaluru: A rowdy's brother was murdered at his house in Tannirbavi, on the ouskirts of Mangaluru early on Monday morning.
The police said that around 4.30 am, Shivaraj (45) was attacked by three unknown people while he was sleeping on the terrace. Shivaraj was rushed to a private hospital, but was declared brought dead. Shivaraj is the brother of rowdy Bharatesh.
The police suspect the murder was by Bharatesh's rivals and also because of a quarrel in the same locality recently. "The killing was due to a local dispute and differences with hostile locality members," officials said.
The CCB police have arrested three people in connection with this case. The team led by Inspector Shantharam and PSI Shyam Sunder arrested Sunil Poojary, Dheeraj and Mallesh, all residents of Tannirbavi. Police said that the others involved in the case too will be arrested soon.
