Hyderabad: The year 2017 has seen a surge in human trafficking cases in Rachakonda. The special operations team busted three online international sex trafficking rackets operated by foreign women.

A Bangladeshi national and three Tanzanians, who were organising the flesh trade, were arrested and girls from Bangladesh and Uzbekistan were rescued.
The SOT also unearthed adulteration units. As many as 100 food adulteration units were traced, 31 gutka and seven spurious seed making units were also booked.

One of the sensational cases was arresting a 17- member gang involved in killing a tiger in Adilabad, planning to sell the skin in Hyderabad.

The SOT busted 82 human trafficking rackets in different parts of Rachakonda. Recently, two Tollywood assistant directors who were organising prostitution were arrested and the girls, who were trapped in the guise of offering them a role in movies, were rescued.

One of the sensational drug rackets involving Nigerians and an AP-based woman was busted by the SOT. The gang was supplying cocaine, brown sugar to customers across the city.
