CBI traps corrupt South Central Railway official
The accused is also known to have accepted a whopping Rs 30 lakh for clearing pending bills from July 2017 to September 2017.
Hyderabad: CBI officials laid a trap and caught a bill clerk from the Guntakal division of South Central (SC) Railway for accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 15,000. The court has remanded the accused for 14 days.
“The accused was caught red handed while accepting the trap amount of Rs 15,000. The accused was arrested and searches were conducted at his residence and office premises at Guntakal,” said the officials. Some incriminating documents were also seized.
The accused is also known to have accepted a whopping Rs 30 lakh for clearing pending bills from July 2017 to September 2017.
