Adilabad: A man attacked a degree girl student with a knife for cancelling an engagement in Adilabad on Monday. She withdrew from the alliance due to the man’s physical disability. She suffered two minor injuries, and was taken to RIMS. She is out of danger now.
The victim, identified as Nandini, is a degree student of Mandagada while the accused is Gadam Nandu, 25, of Belgam village. Elders arranged the marriage between Nandini and Nandu and they got engaged, but she withdrew later. Nandu decided to avenge her refusal, and attacked her with a knife when she was coming out of her college in Adilabad town.
