Man Beats Auto Driver to Death in Kakinada

Kakinada: A man named Sayyad Ahamed Ali of Pithapuram beat an auto driver named Moka Rajendra Prasad, 53, of Seetharampuram village in Tallarevu mandal of Kakinada district to death on Saturday evening.

According to Sarpavaram police, Ali is a tailor who works at a shop in Pithapuram. He came to Kakinada with his wife on his bike. As he was driving, Rajendra Prasad's auto hit his bike from behind. Rajendra Prasad did not stop his auto and continued driving.

Ali chased Rajendra Prasad and stopped him at the JNTUK junction. Ali questioned Rajendra Prasad about the accident and then began beating him severely. Rajendra Prasad fell down and was taken to the Government General Hospital by ambulance, but the doctors declared him dead.

Locals who witnessed the incident stopped Ali and handed him over to the police. Sarpavaram police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
