Hyderabad:Unknown man smashes 13-year-old girl's head

According to the Trimulgherry police, Sravani was staying with her father after her parents separated unofficially.

Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl who went missing was found dead on Saturday in an open ground near Bowenpally by the locals. According to the Trimulgherry police, Sravani was staying with her father after her parents separated unofficially.

“M. Santosh, 39, got married to Alivelu in 2001 and the couple had three daughters, Vaishnavi, 15, Sravani, 13, and Deepika, 9. For over six years, his wife is staying with one Sravan at RTC Colony of Trimulgherry along with Vaishnavi and Deepika. Santosh has been residing at Hasmathpet in Alwal along with his mother Sulochana, brothers Madhu, Suresh and his daughter Sravani for over two years,” said the Police Inspector of Trimulgherry, Kamalla Ravi Kumar.

On Friday, at around 10 pm, Sravani left home and did not return. Santosh assumed that she might have gone to her mother’s house and did not search for her.

“On Saturday, at around 5 pm, he came to know that a girl aged 13, was found dead in the bushes at LIC open ground near Bowenpally Market Yard. He immediately rushed to the spot and found that it was his daughter Sravani. She was brutally murdered by an unknown person who had smashed her face and head using a stone,” added the official.

Based on a complaint, a case was booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC and an investigation was started.
