Hyderabad: 5 held for murder of history-sheeter
Hyderabad: Five persons including a junior artiste have been arrested by the Yadagirigutta police for killing a history-sheeter by smashing his head with a boulder. His body was dumped near Musi river in Chaitanyapuri limits.
According to Yadagirigutta police, one Sheik Jaffar, 25, an autorickshaw driver was missing from his home from the night of October 18. On the previous night, he had gone to the terrace to sleep, but in the morning he was missing from his home.
During the probe, the team found a boulder with blood stains, a wrist watch and bike keys, belonging to Jaffar. On the same day, Jaffar’s body was found in an isolated area near the banks of the Musi river in Chaitanyapuri limits.
The missing case had turned out to be a case of murder. Based on the technical evidence, accused K. Satheesh, his brother Santhosh, G. Suresh, a junior artist, K. Harish, and G. Srikanth, were nabbed. They confessed to the murder and said they shifted the body in a car.
“Satheesh and Jaffar had disputes in the village. Both have history-sheets opened against them. In order to take revenge on Jaffar and prove that he was more powerful, Satheesh hatched a plan to eliminate Jaffar,” said the police.
