MA&UD body of Telangana orders probe into corruption

M. Manohar also faces same charges, that is billing salaries for non-existent workers.

Hyderabad: The Municipal Administration and Urban Development body of Telangana has ordered an inquiry against two officials for misappropriating GHMC funds.

In an order issued on October 21, the MA&UD has asked the GHMC commissioner to order an inquiry against Dr M. Manohar, assistant medical health officer, circle 9, and Venkateshwarlu, sanitary supervisor, circle 9. In the case of sanitation supervisor Venkateshwarlu the MA&UD ordered an inquiry as there were allegations that the officer had engaged 4 to 5 labourers in the sanitation wing of circle No: 9 of GHMC and claimed a bill for seven persons. M. Manohar also faces same charges, that is billing salaries for non-existent workers.
