Coimbatore: Sexual harassment of woman: Cops register FIR, begin probe

Coimbatore: The city police finally accepted a complaint and began investigations in connection with a woman college staff, who was allegedly sexually harassed by her boss in suburbs of Coimbatore.

In a major twist, the Thudiyaloor All Woman’s police officials who initially refused to accept the complaint have lodged the complaint of 23-year-oldwoman college staff who was sexually harassed by the college MD, which went viral in social medias and more than one lakh public had viewed it within 12 hours of uploading the video.

While being so initially, the police officials had refused to accept the complaint of the woman staff on Wednesday and allegedly negotiated with the college administration for financial favours.

After the incident came to light, the students of SFI along with 300 students of the same college staged a road-roko and some of them also hurled stones on the glass windows of the college building while staging a protest here.

After police pacified them promising necessary action the students withdrew their protest.
