Bengaluru: Thieves broke the window of a car and escaped with a laptop which was kept inside the vehicle in Banashankari police station limits on Thursday evening.
The complainant, Hemanth Kumar, is a resident of Padmanabhanagar and works in a private firm.
According to the police, after returning from work on Thursday evening, he had parked his car near his house next to Carmel School, but forgot to take his laptop which was kept in the rear seat.
On noticing the laptop and ascertaining that no one was around, the thieves broke the car window and fled with the device.
The incident came to light at around 8 pm, when one of the neighbours noticed that Hemanth’s car window was broken and immediately informed him.
Hemanth immediately filed a complaint with the Banashankari Police Station. The police said that there were no CCTV cameras in that area and no one was around when incident took place.
Banashankari police have registered a case and begun investigation.
