Malappuram: A 30-year-old woman chopped off her 26-year-old lover's penis in a Kuttippuram hotel room on Thursday. The women, whom the police took into custody, is being questioned. The victim identified as Purathur native Irshad underwent an emergency surgery at a private hospital in Kozhikode, the police said.
They checked into the room on Wednesday, and Irshad ran out crying after the unexpected attack on Thursday morning. The lodge employees immediately hospitalised him. One-third of his penis was chopped off, police said. According to the police, Irshad was in a secret relationship with the Muvattupuzha native divorcee for the past two and half years and had married her secretly under Special Marriages Act. His move to marry another girl prompted her to cut his private part, police said
