HYDERABAD: A housewife from Peepalpahad in Choutuppal of Rachakonda has lodged a complaint with the Choutuppal police alleging rape by a villager for three years. The woman told the police that the accused, a 45-year-old stone cutting worker had blackmailed her by threatening to publicise her bathing videos which he captured on his mobile phone. The Choutuppal police on Monday night registered a case against the accused and are searching for him.
The victim, a mother two children, lives with her husband at Peepalpahad village. The blackmailing started about three years ago, when Upputhota Rangaiah (45), a native of the same village had recorded videos of the woman bathing at her home in his mobile phone. The accused is the father of three children including a daughter.
“Threatening to share the videos with the villagers, Rangaiah demanded sexual favours from the woman and raped her multiple time in the past three years,” said Choutuppal inspector Mr A Venkataiah quoting the complainant.
