4 year old kid abducted from Secunderabad railway station rescued in a day

Bus conductor, local boy helps police track culprits.

Hyderabad: In what seems to be a crackdown scene straight from a thriller movie, the 4-year-old boy who was kidnapped from Secunderabad Railway Station was rescued by North Zone Police and Government Railway Police. The cops did a “reverse analysis” of the whole situation when they hit a roadblock after tracking the women kidnappers in 50 cameras from the railway station to Patny area. They tracked the bus from which the women got down.

They tracked the bus from which the women got down and with leads from the conductor about the place from they boarded the bus, they went to Bolarum area. With the help of the area locals and five search parties, officials found the kidnappers and rescued the four-year-old boy, Ayush. Had they been half-an-hour late, the boy would have been sold off, said DCP, North Zone, B. Sumathi, identifying the arrested women as M. Yadamma alias Durga, 21, and M. Jaya, 18, both daily wage labourers from Bolarum. She added that one Anjamma, 25, another labourer from the same area was reportedly absconding.

“The team formed by Gopalapuram police checked nearly 50 CCTV cameras near Secunderabad railway station and identified that two women were involved in this offence and further tracked them till Patny cross roads, but hit a roadblock and lost them. The team then promptly started a reverse analysis where they again checked the cameras near the railway station and identified that the duo arrived in an RTC bus from Suchitra. Immediately, the team traced the bus driver Narsimulu and the conductor Kumar, who informed that the duo boarded the bus near Indira Nagar in Alwal,” said the DCP North Zone.

The team then rushed to Alwal where they reorganised themselves into five search teams, and checked nearly eight streets. 20 youth also volunteered and searched meticulously for the boy and with the help of a local source who identified the women, they traced their residence and apprehended them from Bolaram.

The women changed the boy’s clothes to throw the cops off and kept him at their residence to sell him off, police said. “According to the confession recorded by the officials, they had a party ready to buy the boy and the same was averted by the cops in the nick of time. We will soon arrest the other parties involved in the racket and the absconding associate too,” added the official. The boy was reunited with his mother on Monday. “I will be going back to Kanpur, my native place, and educate my children. We are really thankful to the Hyderabad Police for saving my boy,” the woman said.
