Hyderabad: Dumped woman tipped off cops

The spa charged Rs 8000 for sexual favours.

Hyderabad: The crackdown on Cyberdabad’s spas-cum-sex joints came after a tip off from a woman. The woman, who was a friend and a close associate of main accused Dasari Siddhartha, was cheated in romance by him.

The woman approached the police and gave details of the sex business. Kingpin, Dasari Siddartha, son of a Central government employee, had completed engineering from a reputed college in the city and had done PG in Ireland.

Cyberabad police said the women from Thailand who were rescued were working on monthly salaries. They were initially hired to work as masseurs, but were later forced into the flesh trade. They had to service at least six customers a day. While some of them earned up to Rs 40,000 a month, including payments from employers and tips from clients, others were paid commissions.

Police said they will write to the Foreigner Regional Registration Office for deporting the foreigners for violating visa conditions.

Police said the Thai women were aged between 22 and 26 and had come to Hyderabad on visit visas. “Thai national Keke recruited them for jobs in spas and massage parlours but after they came to Hyderabad they were pushed into the flesh trade. The women continued as masseurs and also offered sexual services,” they said.

The spa organisers charged up to Rs 4,000 per package and Rs 8,000 for sexual favours. The clients paid in cash and via credit and debit cards also. “Some of them paid online. The amounts were transferred to 12 bank accounts of Siddhartha,” police said.

Siddartha accommodated some women in the parlours itself. Others were accommodated in Banjara Hills. Siddartha had rented three bedroom flats in Banjara Hills for accommodating the women and paid '2 lakh per month as rent.

On Saturday night Cyberabad police raided six spas, arrested Siddartha and his aides and rescued 65 women including 34 Thai nationals, 21 from North Eastern states, and nine from Hyderabad.
