Money Was Used to Fund Terror Module: Cops

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police said analysis of funds transferred from the rate-and-review racket were traced to a crypto wallet associated with Hezbollah, indicating the use of money siphoned from India for terror.

Hyderabad police commissioner C.V. Anand said: “Since terror financing is involved and the case might have ramifications in terms of national security, we will work together with the National Investigation Agency, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and other central agencies to dig deep into the case.”

The police, not disclosing further details, said that they analysed wallets to which the Indian mastermind, Prakash Prajapati, transferred money. They found that while transactions were made to several crypto wallets, a wallet, in particular, was linked with the terror module.
