Bengaluru: BJP man found dead, wife suspects murder due to business disputes

Bengaluru: A 52-year-old realtor was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Maruthi Layout bus stop in Chandra Layout police station limits on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Rajanna, a resident of Maruthi Layout. He was also a BJP party worker.

According to the police, Rajanna had gone to meet his friend Nagaraju on Friday evening. Around 10.30 pm, the body was found near the bus stop and his bike was found at a distance. Prima facie, it appeared like a road accident and he died of head injuries.

“Initially, the Byatarayanapura traffic police had registered an accident case in this connection. However, as his wife Prema felt that it could be a murder, a suspicious death case is registered in Chandra Layout police station. She alleged that her husband had some business disputes with some people. We are awaiting the post-mortem report to know the cause of his death,” an official said. Further investigations are on.
