Hyderabad: A man murdered his wife at his rented house at Babul Reddynagar in Mailardevpally on Saturday.
The accused was identified as Pulak Ghora, 40, a security supervisor in a firm at Hitech City and the victim as Thuthu Ghora, 30. The accused and victim are natives of Arunachal Pradesh.
Police said Pulak beat up his wife after a quarrel. He slammed her head against a wall which resulted in serious injuries. She later succumbed to the injuries, Mailardevpally police inspector P. Jagdeshwar said.
The incident was witnessed by the neighbours. Pulak the accused tried to flee from the spot after the incident but was apprenhended by house owner Surya Naik. Police took him into custody.
A murder case was registered under section 302 of the IPC and the accused was being interrogated. Police was also recording statements of eye-witnesses. The body of the woman was sent for post-mortem at Osmania hospital.
