Bengaluru: Girl goes home late, cooks up kidnap story
Bengaluru: The Basavanagudi police investigating a kidnap case of a second PU girl student, have found out that it’s a false complaint as the girl cooked up an abduction story after she returned home late. The police are now investigating on why the girl made up the story.
According to the FIR filed by the girl’s mother, the alleged incident took place on April 17, when the girl was returning home from her coaching class. The girl, in her statement, had claimed when she went to buy biscuits at a nearby shop, four persons in an Indica car came and kidnapped her. She claimed that the abductors injured her on the neck and hand and also forced her to smoke a cigarette, which purportedly had narcotic substance.
“She claimed the one of the kidnappers, who spoke in Hindi, contacted another and told him that they had kidnapped the girl and would bring her within three hours. When the abductors stopped the car in the rains and got down to repair the wiper, the girl escaped,” an official said.
“The injury marks on the girl appear self-inflicted. Also, analysis of her mobile signals revealed she was not in Basavanagudi when the incident took place. The girl had gone home late and cooked up the story fearing her parents,” the official added.
