Constable helped two aspirants get TSPSC papers

Hyderabad: Kethavath Srinivas, a police constable from Medchal in Cyberabad, who was arrested in the TSPSC paper leak, helped two aspirants procure question papers to make a quick buck, officials said.

He initially rejected the offer as he was preparing to crack the SI entrance exam this year.

The police said that accused Renuka, a government teacher, and her husband, Lavdyavath Dhakya, a technical assistant with DRDA in Vikarabad, procured the question paper from the TSPSC workers and offered it to Srinivas, who initially rejected their offer.

However, he did not report it to his higher-ups and further helped two candidates, Kethavath Neelesh Nayak and Pathlavath Gopal Nayak, it revealed during the custodial interrogation of the accused on the fourth day.

The police also questioned TSPSC confidential section incharge Shankara Laxmi about her responsibilities, her operations, others entering the confidential section and how the accused procured the IDs and passwords.

The SIT is probing if anyone helped the accused financially, to help them get the question papers.

While Laxmi did not write down the credentials anywhere, accused Atla Rajasekhar, being a network administrator, stole them without her knowledge, the police said.

Searches were also conducted at the residences of Renuka and Dhakya in Mahabubnagar district.
