Hyderabad man killed family after tiff with wife
Hyderabad: Meerpet police arrested the person responsible for the gruesome murder of his wife and two children on Tuesday. The accused S. Surender, 32, was an autorickshaw worker in Thelapur village. The deceased were identified as S. Varalakshmi, 24, Ritesh, 6, and Yesheshwini, 3.
“On Ugadi day, the accused along with his wife and children went to his father-in-law’s house at Badagnpet. He used to have frequent quarrels with his wife over family issues after. On March 20, the day he was supposed to return, he had a quarrel with his wife,” said LB Nagar DCP M. Venkateshwar Rao.
“He took his wife to the room where his daughter was sleeping and strangulated her to death. He did the same with his daughter who was asleep. He called his son to the room saying he wanted to download a game for him and strangled him too and fled the scene,” the official said.
The accused first confessed his guilt to village revenue officer of Badangpet who later informed the police, following which the arrest was made.
