Telangana: Four held for beating up Armed Reserve Sub Inspector

Hyderabad: The Hayathnagar police arrested four persons who were allegedly involved in the beating up of an Armed Reserve Sub Inspector (ARSI) on March 19 while he was returning home from duty. At the Gowrelli area, the ARSI accidentally hit a vehicle coming from the opposite side due to bad light. The vehicle driver, Ms. Padma, fell on the ground. Her husband and relatives gathered at the scene and started thrashing the cop, though he said he would pay the victim’s medical bills.

He kept on pleading innocence and agreed to pay the expenses but the mob wasn’t convinced and also snatched away his Pan card, aadhaar card and wallet which had an amount of Rs. 10,000/, said the police. However only four persons involved in the crime were arrested while the remaining three are absconding noted the police.
