Hyderabad: Three people were arrested by Nalgonda police for the rape of a 15-year-old girl in the name of black magic. Police said Uyyala Venkanna from Nemmaniki and Jala Lingaiyya helped a priest from Nizamabad, M. Vinod Kumar, to lure the girl and take her to an isolated place on Monday.
They later took her to a house owned by one A. Indiramma in Tirumalagiri for sorcery to unearth treasure. Inside the house, in the guise of pooja, they made her naked, confined her to a room, and forced her to consume alcohol.
After that the priest raped her. However, the girl escaped on Friday evening and told the incident to her parents. Based on a complaint from her father, police registered a case of rape and Pocso.
Police found the gang also performed sorcery on the girl on January 29 but the girl did not reveal it to her parents. The arrested persons were remanded.
