Bengaluru: The Yalahanka police have arrested four notorious rowdies for preparation for dacoity and seized a country made pistol, live rounds and lethal weapons from the accused.
There were reports that the accused were involved in the recent shootout case, in which APMC President Kadabagere Seena was injured. However, the police said that the investigations have so far not established their role.
Mohan Kumar alias Double Meter Mohana, 30, a resident of Siddapura, Nagaraja alias Wilson Garden Naga, 30, a resident of Vinayaka Nagar in Wilson Garden, Raju alias Palaniswamy, 24, and Basavaraju, 29, both residents of Siddapura are the arrested.
The Yalahanka police received information that a gang of men in three four-wheelers were waiting at Judicial Layout Parallel Road to commit dacoity. They rushed to the spot and arrested four people, while eight others escaped in a jeep.
Two cars, a country made pistol, six live bullets, two black jerkins, a shoe, a helmet, a luggage bag and other lethal weapons were seized during the operation.
Links with Rohit, silent Sunila
Incidentally, Mohan and Naga are close associates of notorious rowdies Onte Rohit and Silent Sunila, who were recently arrested in a threat call case involve Tata Ramesh, a close aide of Kadabagere Seena. “The duo confessed that they had committed supari killings and other crimes at the behest of Rohit and Sunila,” the police said.
