Alappuzha: The district sessions court here will pronounce the verdict on actor Fahadh Fazil’s plea for anticipatory bail relating to the tax evasion case on Thursday. The court put off the verdict after completing the hearing on Wednesday. He had not appeared before the Crime Branch office on Tuesday for interrogation citing busy shooting schedule. The prosecution has opposed the plea as it will affect the ongoing probe.
Actor Amala Paul has also sought more time to be present before the investigation team. Both the actors were summoned by the Crime Branch on Tuesday for forging documents to register their high-end vehicles in Puducherry to evade tax. The actors have reportedly fudged documents to evade the 20 percent tax in the state on luxury vehicles.
