Hyderabad: 1 killed, 6 senior citizens injured in road accidents
Hyderabad: One person was killed and three others were injured when a speeding car moving in the wrong direction rammed into an autorickshaw at Pet Basheerabad on Tuesday. Meanwhile, in another accident, six persons were injured when an ambulance rammed into a road divider at Bowenpally.
According to Pet Basheerabad police, A. Mahesh Yadav, 25, an autorickshaw driver from Bahadurpally was transporting three passengers from Bahadurpally X roads to Kompally in his vehicle when a car which was moving in the wrong direction from Kompally side to Bahadurpally side, rammed into the autorickshaw at high speed near Indian Oil petrol pump. The police said Mahesh sustained severe bleeding injuries and died on the spot.
In the another accident at Bowenpally, in order to skip hitting a biker who took a blunt U-turn near Bowenpally post office, an ambulance driver rammed the vehicle into a road divider. The ambulance was carrying six eye-patients, who recently underwent surgeries at Ashram Charitable Trust at Kandlakoi.
They all received injuries and were admitted to a private hospital. However, the elderly citizens are all stated to be out of danger, said the police.
