Hyderabad : Almost a week after Shiva Rachith, a Nursery student of Bachpan School drowned in a sump which was left open by the school authority, Malkajgiri police recovered the CCTV video recording from the school.
The DVR had footages only from November 15 and no records of the incident on the day it occured on November 14. Cops have sent the footage for forensic analysis.
On Monday, a team of cops from Malkajgiri police station along with Rachith’s parents and a few friends visited the school campus which was seized by the education department.
“There was no records of November 14, the day the incident occured. The equipment has been sent for forensic analysis to ascertain if the cameras were actually not working or the footage was erased. After the report, we will get more details about the incident,” said Mr G. Sandeep, ACP Malkajgiri.
Meanwhile, the school staff admitted to the police that the cameras were not working for a long time and had been repaired immediatly after the incident.
