Students of a minority residential school in Adilabad admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in the town on Monday.
ADILABAD: As many as 20 students studying Classes 6 and 7 fainted after they were made to do 50 sit-ups at a minority residential school in Adilabad on Monday night.
They were being punished by teacher Jyoti for not revealing who had torn a Hindi notebook belonging to another student. She asked the physical education teacher Rama to make the girls do the sit-ups as punishment. The students were rushed to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences where they are undergoing treatment. Among them, five girls were administered saline.
