Hyderabad: Troubled by family disputes a farmer couple committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Nalgonda. Veera Reddy and Bhavani left a suicide note blaming Veera Reddy’s mother, brother and sister-in-law for their death. Police said V. Veera Reddy, 26, and V. Bhavani, 23, got married nearly two years ago and were staying with Veera Reddy’s family at Mellacheruvu in Nalgonda district. Since some days they were having disputes within the family.
On Monday they approached the police regarding the disputes and the cops counselled them. After returning home in the evening, both of them went out. On Tuesday morning police found their bodies near a canal in Singaram village. Police recovered a suicide note from the spot. The note said they have not done anything wrong and that Veera Reddy’s mother Kameshwar-amma, his brother and sister-in-law were troubling them and they were forced to commit suicide.
“They consumed an unknown pesticide and committed suicide. Based on evidence we will proceed,” said Huzunagar police. Police registered a suspicious death case and handed over the bodies to the family after post-mortem.
