Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl in the city was allegedly gang-raped by two persons, who offered to drop the girl at her paternal grandmother’s house on their bike on Monday night, said Maheshwaram police, informing that a team is working on the clues to identify the suspects and apprehend them.
According to Maheshwaram police, the victim (17), a resident of Gagillapur village in Quthbullapur mandal went to Maheshwaram in a bus to go to her paternal grandmother’s house in Dannaram village. She reached the area at around 8 pm and was waiting for a bus to reach Dannaram.
Meanwhile, two youngsters who noticed the victim had approached her and offered a lift to her grandmother’s house on their bike. She believed them and boarded the bike, but the accused took her to a secluded area
where they sexually assaulted the girl, said the police.
A case was registered and a team is working on the clues to nab the accused persons.
The girl was sent for medical examination and she would also be provided with counselling, said the police.
