Hyderabad: Japanese pickpocketed in Madhapur
Hyderabad: Unidentified miscreant have stolen the wallet of a Japanese national working for a multi-national company in the city outside Paradise.
The Japanese lodged a complaint with the Madhapur police, who are verifying CCTV footage at the restaurant and those installed in the vicinity to identify the suspect.
Asuka Kamijo, an MNC employee from Madhapur came for business and at about 1 pm on Saturday, Asuka and his colleague went to Paradise restaurant located opposite Cyber Towers to have lunch.
When Asuka was waiting at the entrance, an unidentified person was lingering near him and stole his wallet containing three credit cards and Rs 6,000 cash.
The wallet also contained an insurance card and an airport membership lounge.
The techie realised the theft only after finishing his lunch, and complained to the police.
Madhapur sub-inspector Md Alam said, “An unidentified person had stolen the man’s wallet at Paradise restaurant. We are verifying CCTV footage at the restaurant and other places to help identify the suspect and nab him.”
