ACB receives 8,268 complaints on corruption, resolves 8,213 so far

From Jan. 1 to till-date, ACB authorities registered eight trap cases and 12 regular enquiries and conducted 13 surprise checks

Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths received 8,268 complaints related to corruption on its toll-free number 14400 from 25 November 2019 and resolved 8,213 in the state.

It also received 149 complaints related to ACB and 749 complaints related to other than ACB through ACB mobile app so far, and complaints related to other departments are being forwarded to them for necessary action.

The ACB registered a total of 41 trap cases and five criminal misconduct cases and took up 118 enquiries, and carried out 83 surprise checks based on complaints received through its toll-free number and mobile app from November 2019 and June in the state.

However, from Jan. 1 to till-date, ACB authorities registered eight trap cases and 12 regular enquiries and conducted 13 surprise checks based on complaints received on its toll-free number and booked one trap case and carried out three regular enquiries based on complaints received on the mobile app. Similarly, it carried out nine trap cases from Jan. 1 to till-date, based on complaints received on its toll-free number and also on the mobile app, according to a release from ACB on Thursday.
