Medical college bribery: Vigilance director Loknath Behera orders vigilance probe

Thiruvananthapuram: Vigilance director Loknath Behera ordered a preliminary investigation into the bribery allegation against a BJP leader. According to sources, A.J. Sukarno, a former CPM councilor in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, had petitioned the vigilance director seeking a probe into the allegations based on which the probe has been ordered now. The preliminary investigation would be conducted by special investigation unit -II in Thiruvananthapuram which has jurisdiction across the state.
