Bengaluru: An Ola auto driver was arrested by the Indiranagar police for threatening a woman passenger, who had earlier registered a complaint with the cab aggregator, who in turn blacklisted him.

The accused has been identified as Manjunath M, aged around 25 years. He hails from Mandya and is a resident of Hosur Road.

According to the police, a 19-year-old student had booked the Ola auto on Monday morning and the accused driver had picked her up from her house.

On the way to the college on Hosur Road, he allegedly started making remarks against women wearing short dresses.

When the girl told him it was their wish to wear whatever they want to and asked him to keep quiet, he got upset. He then started making lewd comments and even asked her to have sex with him.

“After getting down at the college the girl raised a complaint with Ola and the company blacklisted him. Upset over this, he started calling her on phone and abused her in filthy language. Based on a complaint, he has been arrested,” the Indiranagar police added.
