KSRTC bus runs over leopard near Chikkanahalli
It died instantly due to multiple injuries.
BENGALURU: A two-year-old male leopard was killed in a road accident on Ramanagar-Bannikuppe main road near Chikkanahalli on Friday morning. The forest department officials said the leopard had strayed out of the forest limits and came under a KSRTC bus near Chikkanahalli. It died instantly due to multiple injuries.
According to the forest officials, the leopard population in Ramanagar district has crossed more than 60 and they receive about two to three cases each day of leopard attack on cows and other domestic animals. Since last one year the forest officials have relocated two leopards as they were causing trouble in the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary.
