Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman, who got married in February, killed herself by hanging at her house on Saturday morning, allegedly due to depression.
Police identified the victim as Kruthika Reddy, 24.
According to a Narsingi police official, Kruthika had got married two months ago with one Ramakrishna Reddy, an employee at a software firm.
They shifted to a house in Narsingi as it is close to his office.
Narsingi inspector G.V. Raman Goud said, “She was suffering from depression and she was on medication. On Saturday morning, she went into the bathroom and hanged herself. When she did not come from the bathroom for a long time. Ramakrishna Reddy broke open the door and saw his wife’s body hanging from the ceiling.”
The Narsingi cops registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and is investigating.
