THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A jawan attached to Assam Rifles was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman, 30, from Guwahati inside a moving train on Friday last. The suspect was identified as Simpson of Cherthala, 32, who resides at Ambalapuzha. The man had boarded the train from Guwahati and was on long leave.
He started boozing in the train. When it reached Chennai on Friday, he started molesting the woman. The victim who works as a housemaid at Pettah in the capital city was groped and touched on her belly. The Thiruvananthapu-ram railway pol-ice arrested the accused and produced him before a court which remanded him.
