Hyderabad: A BTech student, who was on way to college, was killed in a road mishap at Langar Houz on Monday when a school bus rammed his scooter from behind. The victim, K. Raju, died on the spot due to serious head injuries.
His brother, 17-year-old Sai Kiran, was injured. Police said Sai Kiran was driving the scooter while Raju was on the pillion. The siblings, who are residents of Karwan, were going to their college at Moinabad.
“The school bus of Anwarul Uloom school came from behind and hit then from the rear. Both victims fell on the road. Raju suffered serious injuries on his head and died in minutes. His brother was rushed to hospital,” said a police official from Langar Houz.
The mishap occurred at around 8 am. “The bus driver was speeding. He was driving rashly,” a police officer said. The cops have booked a case against the bus driver for causing death through negligence. Raju was a student of KG Engineering College.
