Hyderabad: Irrigation engineer lands in ACB's NET

The net value of the ill-gotten wealth is around Rs 1.7 crore. But it's market value is calculated to be around Rs 5 crore.

Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the house of K. Shravan Kumar Reddy, deputy executive engineer (irrigation), Banswada sub-division, Kama Reddy district, and unearthed ill-gotten wealth worth Rs 5 crore. A disproportionate assets case has been filed against him. The accused was arrested and produced before the ACB court.

On credible information, the ACB carried out the raids on Saturday. It found that the accused had acquired a house at Suchitra Junction worth Rs 50 lakh, five open plots costing Rs 25 lakh, one flat at Begumpet, one commercial shop at Jeedimetla and 34 acres of agricultural land in Nizamabad.

The officials seized 830 gram of gold ornaments worth Rs 14 lakh, Rs 50,000, bank balance of Rs 12 lakh, three cars worth Rs 21 lakh and chit funds worth Rs 11.98 lakh.

The net value of the ill-gotten wealth is around Rs 1.7 crore. But it’s market value is calculated to be around Rs 5 crore.
