Ex-serviceman alleges harassment by his daughters-in-law

Hyderabad: A Haryana-based ex-serviceman Satyapal Poonia accused his daughters-in-law of harassing him and his two sons Vikrant and Shrikant, both serving members of Indian Army, by lodging fake cases for money and property.

In a video shared on social media network X, one of Satyapal’s daughters-in-law was shown arguing with him at his home while sitting on his bed holding a lathi.

In the video, Satyapal claims that he has been living at a farm house alone after his daughters-in-law - wives of his two sons - have fought with him and his sons. However, he claims that, in spite of living alone, his daughters-in-law have been harassing him, seeking the transfer of his property on to their names.

He also claims that his younger daughter-in-law had accused his elder son of attempting to outrage her modesty by tearing off her clothes.

He said the police have registered a case against his son Shrikant Poonia on the complaint of his daughter-in-law even after her young son reportedly told the police that her mother had torn her dress by herself.

Speaking a local news outlet, Army soldier Shrikant Poonia, who was in tears, recounted his ordeal and said that he was contemplating suicide after hearing the complaint lodged by his younger brother’s wife.
