Hyderabad: Man Fakes wife’s ID for woman, held
Hyderabad: A couple from Karnataka who wanted to visit the Taj Mahal faked identity papers to board a flight from Hyderabad to Delhi but was arrested at the Shamshabad airport.
An RGI Airport police official said, the incident took place two days ago.
The accused were identified as Doulsab, 41, a TV mechanic from Lingasu-gur in Raichur district of Karnataka, and Lakshmi, 23, a resident of the same town.
The police said Doulsab booked tickets on his name and that of his wife Fatima Begum. He took photocopies of his wife’s identification cards and carried them to the airport on August 16.
“Security personnel asked them for their tickets and identification cards. Lakshmi was carrying a Fatima’s identification card of Fatima,” said an RGIA police officer.
