Bengaluru: 3 held while planning dacoity
Bengaluru: The alert Bellandur police foiled a dacoity by arresting a notorious rowdy sheeter and two of his associates who were planning for a dacoity and had also received a contract to kill a person.
The police picked up rowdy sheeter Nagaraju alias Mooga (25), and his two associates Chandra alias Gulla (32) and Chandra Raj (27) from a vacant site near Halanayakanahalli lake. The police recovered lethal weapons from the accused and claimed they were planning for a dacoity.
Nagaraju, who was wanted in an attempt murder case reported in Bellandur police station, is involved in 27 cases, including a murder attempt, assault, and robbery. He along with Chandra and Chandra Raj were absconding after violating bail conditions without appearing before the court, the police said.
During the interrogation, the police stumbled upon the call records in Nagaraju’s phone in which he was heard receiving a contract to kill one Muniraju. The police now trying to identify and trace the person who gave the contract.
Bellandur police have registered a case and begun investigation.
