Hyderabad: Ten passengers travelling in an RTC bus suffered injuries when the bus rammed into a lorry moving ahead of it in Pahadishareef.
Police said that on Friday night the RTC bus belonging to Achampet depot in Mahbubnagar district was coming to Hyderabad with around 20 passengers. As the bus was passing by a private school in Tukkuguda the driver of the lorry moving ahead applied brakes suddenly.
The bus driver who was also moving at high speed could not control his vehicle and rammed into the lorry. As a result, the front portion of the bus got damaged and passengers sustained injuries.
Police said a two-year-old girl suffered a serious injury and her condition is critical. Other passengers suffered only minor injuries and are out of danger. Police registered a case against the lorry driver for inflicting injuries through rash driving and launched a hunt to track down the lorry. Police said the lorry driver sped away after the incident.
