Hyderabad: Three arrested for murder attempt
Hyderabad: Shankarpally Police arrested three individuals including a village sarpanch for attempt to murder with criminal intention.
The arrested accused were identified as Thonda Ravi, 36, deputy sarpanch of Maharajpet village, Kattamedi Ashok Kumar, 50, and Srinath alias Talwar, 45, real estate businessman. Officials seized Rs 20,000, a knife, three cellphones and a bike from their possession.
“Ravi and Ashok are relatives and Srinath was their friend. The victim they attempted to murder was Podavu Srinu alias Idea Srinu, all from Maharajpet village of Shankarpally mandal. The trio and Srinu were doing real estate business since 10 years, separately. Since the past one year, Ravi was staying out of business because Srinu had a grudge against him, he summoned the other person and hatched a plan to kill Srinu” said the Shankarapally police.
As per their plan, on Monday, about 9 am, Srinath reached Srinu’s office with a knife on his bike from Langar house. When Srinu started from his house with party in his car to show a site, Srinath followed them. After few minutes of journey, the victim stopped his car at outskirts of Tangatoor village of Shankarpally mandal.”
