Hyderabad: Three minors convicted for under-age driving
Hyderabad: Three minors were convicted for under-age driving on Tuesday by Nampally Juvenile Justice Court, which sent them to juveniles homes for seven days. Police had produced 30 minors before Nampally Juvenile court for driving before attaining the legal age.
Of the total 30 juveniles, 27 were let off with a fine of Rs 700. The convicted juveniles have been sent to the juvenile home at Gajulara-maram on Bachupally Road.
After several incidents of minors indulging in driving and causing accidents that have claimed several lives, Hyderabad traffic police started booking even the parents for allowing their vards to drive.
Altogether 69 parents have been jailed this year so far of which 10 were convicted in February, 10 in March and 26 in April.
