Avinash skips meeting CBI officials after mother falls sick

HYDERABAD: Kadapa YSRC MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy skipped the CBI probe for the second consecutive time for medical reasons after his mother Lakshmamma complained of a heart-stroke in Pulivendula on Friday. He sent a letter to CBI officials through his advocates seeking time to appear before the agency.

He was supposed to appear before the CBI following a notice to question him
in connection with the murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. Along with his
advocates, Avinash Reddy started from his residence at the CBI office at
Koti.

However, at Khairatabad, he asked his advocates to meet CBI officials
and submit his letter. However, CBI officials did not accept the letter.

Immediately, a team of CBI officials followed the convoy of Avinash Reddy,
who was proceeding to Pulivendula, Meanwhile, the family was in a dilemma on
whether his mother had to be shifted to Bengaluru or Hyderabad.

Avinash took his mother to Viswabharathi Hospital in Kurnool for a check-up
and she was later shifted to Hyderabad.

There was no clarity on fresh CBI notices to Avinash Reddy in connection
with the case.
