Bengaluru: Tanker rams into bike, techie dies

Bengaluru: A 33-year-old techie died on the spot after a speeding water tanker crashed into his bike in Whitefield traffic police limits on Friday night.
The deceased, Prasad Rane, was a resident of Siddapura and hailed from Dandeli in Uttara Karnataka. He was working as a software engineer at a private company in Mahadevapura.
Around 10 pm, Prasad was returning home from work on his bike when the speeding tanker knocked him down on Ramagondanahalli Main Road. He died on the spot due to severe head injuries and the driver of the water tanker fled the spot after abandoning the vehicle.
The Whitefield traffic police registered a case and seized the tanker. The police are examining the CCTV footage to identify and nab the accused.
