Telangana: Kidnap case solved in 24 hours

Chandanagar Police arrested the suspect G. Aruna and rescued a 6-month-old male child on Friday.

Hyderabad: Clues from CCTV footage helped the police to solve a kidnap case in less than 24 hours in Chandanagar Police arrested the suspect G. Aruna and rescued a 6-month-old male child on Friday.

According to police, K. Luckey and his wife Jana Savitha resided in the huts located under the Nallagandla flyover in Chandanagar. Being summer, they along with their 6-month-old child sleep outside the hut during nights. “On Thursday night also, they slept outside their hut. Late in the night, when Savitha woke up, she found the child missing. Panicked, they searched in the surroundings and later lodged a complaint with the police. A kidnap case was registered.” Chandanagar SI T. Srinu said. The couple told police that a few days ago, a woman Aruna approached them and asked them to give her the child in adoption.
