Hyderabad: Bodies of 2 missing children found, suspect absconding
Hyderabad: Two boys were found brutally murdered in Hayatnagar on Thursday morning. According to the police, brothers Dharamraju and Mukesh, sons of a migrant couple from Chhattisgarh, had been missing from home since Wednesday evening. Locals found their bodies in an open land behind Brilliant Engineering College on Thursday morning.
The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights took up the incident Suo Moto and directed the Cyberabad police commissioner and the Ranga Reddy district collector to inquire and submit a detailed report into the incident by June 16.
Mr Ramkumar Nevare and his wife Ms Buleshi had arrived from Chhattisgarh with their two sons Dharamraj (10) and Mukesh (7) just 15 days back. They met a contractor through a friend and were hired on daily wages for the construction work at the Brilliant Engineering College at Abdullapurmet in Hayatnagar. They were living on the college premises along with families of other workers.
On Wednesday, when the couple returned from work at around 6.30 pm, the boys were not to be found. After searching till late night, they informed the police about the missing boys. When the police arrived and asked them to lodge a complaint, they said they would do it on Thursday morning. However, on Thursday morning locals found the bodies of the two boys in an open area behind the college campus and informed the cops.
“The boys were hit by boulders on their heads and faces, which could have killed them instantly. The parents suspect a colleague from Chhattisgarh, who has been missing since the bodies were found. Special teams are searching for the suspect,” said Hayatnagar inspector J. Narender Goud.
A dog squad that came to the spot followed a scent till the main road and entered a toddy shop on the road and came back to the spot. The clues team too found no leads. A murder case was registered and the bodies were handed over to the family after post-mortem.
