Hyderabad: 3 more inter students end life

At West Marredpally, K Lasya, 18, committed suicide reportedly after failing in two subjects in the Intermediate II exam.

Hyderabad: Three Intermediate students committed suicide after their results were declared on Thursday, taking the total to five in two days. The incidents were reported from Nizamabad, Warangal and Hyderabad districts. Another student attempted to take her life and is in a critical condition.

At West Marredpally, K Lasya, 18, committed suicide reportedly after failing in two subjects in the Intermediate II exam. She was an MPC student at a private college at Nallakunta. Police said, Lasya hanged herself from the ceiling of a room in her home on Thursday night.

At Yedpally in Nizamabad district, Thota Vennela, 18, a resident of the Armed Reserve Police camp, consumed rat poison after reportedly coming to know that she had failed in two subjects, physics and chemistry. She was admitted to a hospital but died while undergoing treatment on Friday. A case of suspicious death has been registered.

At Hanmakonda in Warangal district, M. Bhanu Kiran, 19, a second-year student of MPC stream at a private college committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train. Kiran was upset with his results and though his father Sarangapani consoled him and supported him, he left the house early on Friday morning and ended his life on the tracks.

At Vinayakapuram in Bhadradi Kothagudem district, Ache Prayuthsa, an Inter I MPC student attempted suicide by consuming pesticide on Friday. She was rushed to a hospital. Her condition was stated to be critical.
